Well I bought the neti pot tonight and I tried it out. The neti pot for those of you who have never heard of it is a nasal cleaning device. I filled up the neti pot with some warm water and follwed the directions. It said to tile your head over a sink and pour the water into one of yor nostrils. You are supposed to place your tongue on the top of the roof of your mouth.

It felt a little wired at first, but it really doeas work. After cleaning both nostrils my sinus felt great. I’ll try and post some pictures shortly. but for now you can check out this YouTube video on the neti pot.

 APPLICATION TIPS:
Start slowly: Using Retinol is like exercising. You don’t start out running a marathon. Begin by applying a small amount (a little goes a long way) every other day for about two weeks. After two weeks, you may begin applying more frequently until you find the best routine for your skin.
Sitck with it: It is important to be compliant, as the benefits of Retinol are seen over time. If you experience minor skin irratation, this may be temporary while your skin adjusts to the product. Just decrease usage for a few days and work your way back up after that.

I tried to stick with putting the cream on each night, and I did see some results after using it for about a week and a half. But with three kids, keeping me busy there are nights that I’m so tired I just fall asleep without putting on my anti-aging cream. So I would say it does work but only get it if you have the time to really use it.

I wanted to try and whiten my coffee stained teeth and thought i’d give Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus strips a try. From the packaging it states that you can see results after just 3 days and whiter teeth for 18 months. Crest teeth whitening strips are enamel safe and contain the same ingredients that dentist use. They were easy to use, you have to use it twice a day for 30 minutes each.

One of the benefits of the Ortho-Evra patch is that it is transdermal. By simply attaching it to one of 4 areas (upper arms, upper back, abdomen, and back), the hormones will seep through skin pores. Birth control effectiveness is not immediate, so folks should abstain from unprotected sex for a few days before the hormones take effect.

It should also be stated that the patch does not prevent or protect HIV or sexually trasmitted diseases.

For someone who is pretty bad at keeping track of pills, having the patch is a nice alternative!

Upon a yearly visit to my OB/GYN, I found out that I was suffering from more than a monthly period. I had developed some cysts on my ovaries and my menstral cramps were somewhat worse than usual. The transdermal - or “through the skin” weekly patch is one of the latest advancements in contraceptives. By simply attaching a patch to one of a few areas: upper outer arm, upper torso (excluding breasts), abdomen, or buttocks, a woman can be free to resume all activities for a week before replacing the patch with a new one.

The patch is reported to be 99 percent effective when used as prescribed - once a week for 3 consecutive weeks.

Pretty good odds, I say?

Thankfully, my doctor gave me a couple months’ worth supply of patches to try out. They came in nifty little plastic cases, each patch tightly sealed, and packaged in a very discrete blue zip-up case that could be used to easily carry other daily toiletries!
